Biography

Dr. Ali Oto is a fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhytm Society. He has served on the Board and Committees of the several International Medical societies and organizations, including ESC (as a Board Member and Vice President), the International Society for Holter and Noninvasive Electrocardiology (Past President), and the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology (Heart Rhythm Society), ACC and AHA and currently serving on the Global AF Alliance Board of Trustees. Dr Oto is a founding member and Past President of the Mediterranean Association of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery (MACCS). Currently he is the Vice President of the Heart and Health Foundation of Turkey. He has served as a Steering Committee member for the Union Europeenne des Medecins Specialises-Cardiology Section and currently he is the Vice President. Dr. Oto has also been honored as the President of the Turkish Society of Cardiology for two consecutive terms. He is a recipient of the MACCS Excellence in Cardiology award, the Professor ?hsan Do?ramac? High Honor Award, and also is an honorary member of the San Marino Society of Cardiology and honorary Professor of Belgrade University Medical Faculty. He has edited 25 books and he is the Author of more than 300 scientific papers
