Biography

Dr. Al-Fayyadh is the Deputy Director of Heart Center and the HeartNet (Cardiology Information System) Project Executive, at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center-Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In addition to his clinical practice of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology, Dr. Al-Fayyadh is also the Immediate Past President of the Saudi Heart Rhythm Society.

Graduated from King Saud University in Riyadh, Dr. Al-Fayyadh is a Saudi educated physician who obtained his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology from Columbia University, New York. Moreover, he completed Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. Also he holds Master in Medical Management from University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Al-Fayyadh's research interests focus on arrhythmia in children and in particular inherited arrhythmogenic syndromes and their genetic basis in Saudi Arabia. His work is supported by multiple grants including an epidemiological study "Electrocardiogram Screening for School children: A Cross Sectional, Population Based Study" Grant from King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology for National Programs. Notable work also include research for "Characteristics of Sudden Death in Qassim: A Prospective Study" and "Genetics of Mendelian Cardiovascular Disorders in Saudi Arabia" , "Clinical & Molecular Characterization of Saudi Patients with Inherited Arrhythmogenic Disorders" , and "Permanent pacing in pediatric patients".

Dr. Al-Fayyadh has the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Sub-Board of Pediatric Cardiology.
