Biography

Faisal M.A. Al Samadi is an Interventional Cardiology Consultant and Cardiac Electrophysiology Consultant at the Prince Salman Heart Centre in Saudi Arabia. His educational background includes passing high school in 1989 to 1990 with an excellent grade of 98%. He furthers his Bachelor's degree in Medicine & Surgery at King Saud University in the year 1991 to 1996 with a very good grade of 4.13 out of 5.00 with 2nd honor degree. During his university study he has completed step 1 of his USMLE at September 1995 he then, finished step 2 in August 1997. He completed his internship at 1997 for one year at the same university with an excellent degree. June of the same year he has passed the Medical Council of Canadian Education Exam (MCCEE). The following year, he completed his one-year residency at Security Forces Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In the year 1999 to 2002, he was part of the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program at McMaster University, Hamilton ON, Canada. In August 2002 he passed the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He is then part of the Cardiology Residency Training Program at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, ON, Canada from 2002 to 2005. During his residency he has completed a fellowship in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada [FRCP(C)] on June 2003 and October 2005 respectively. In the year 2006, he has passed the American Board of Cardiovascular disease (ABIM). He then completed his fellowship of Interventional Cardiology in the year 2005 to 2006 and Interventional Electrophysiology in 2006 to 2008 at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, ON, Canada. He now holds academic positions in the College of Medicine at King Saud University as a Clinical Assistant Professor. He is also the Academic Officer and the Adult Cardiology Program Director of Prince Salman Heart Centre.
