Biography
Prof. Ahmad Hersi is a Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at King Khalid University Hospital in Riyadh, KSA and a Professor of Medicine at King Saud University in Riyadh, K.S.A. He is a graduate of University of Calgary (Calgary, Alberta, Canada), and University of Alberta (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada). He is Canadian board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.His clinical practice focuses on heart rhythm conditions including non- invasive and invasive evaluation and treatment of arrhythmias and implantation and follow-up of cardiac rhythm devices. His research interests span a wide spectrum in cardiovascular disease including cardiac electrophysiology, preventive cardiology, and the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease in the Arab world. He is an active member of the cardiovascular research community in the Gulf region and is on the steering committees of several regional and international registries including prospective multicenter studies of ICD and Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy.
